After Tuesday's raid on the village of Ibleem, the hometown of dissident officer Hussein Harmoush, a number of his relatives were arrested. Until today it was not known what had happened to them. Doctors from the main hospital in Idlib city delivered the bodies of Mustafa Mohammad Harmoush, Mohammad Harmoush, and Mohannad Hatem Houry.
Mustafa Mohammed Harmoush was brother to Hussein Harmoush and he was 74 when he was killed by security forces. Mohammad Harmoush was beaten in the head with batons, shot twice in the chest and then had his neck broken by the Mukhabarat. An eye witness who was present at his burial said the marks of torture were clear.
Mohannad Hatem Houry was 35 years old and from the village of Bassimas, Jabal Az-Awiya. Mohannad was arrested while sleeping at Mohammad's house. He had a disability in his hand and leg from birth and could not walk easily. He was also tortured to death and had 11 bullet wounds in all different parts of his body an eye witness reported. Mohammad Harmoush's wife is in a coma in the hospital after being tortured and it is not known whether she will survive or not. Ahmed Mohammed Harmoush and his wife along with their children were all arrested by the Mukhabarat and it is not known whether they are alive or not.
After the burials, 30,000 people marched in protest and solidarity with the dead. Protesters demanded the overthrow of the regime and for the international community to step in and protect civilians.
