Protests occurred Friday in the following Provinces:

Damascus Province: Protests took place in the following areas: Al'Qaboun, Al'Kouseh, Barza, Al'Hajar Al'Aswaad, Harista, Hamouriah, Arbeen, Saqaba, Beit Soua, Al'Midaan, Kafr Souseh, Qitna, Al'Qadim, Hajira, Douma, and in some neighbhorhoods in the old city of Damascus. Demonstrators called for the fall of the regime, the execution of the president and for the United Nations and the international community to protect innocent civilians from being killed.

The Mukhabarat stormed the following areas: Al'Qaboun, Al'Kouseh, Barza, Al'Hajar Al'Aswaad, Harista, Hamouriah, Arbeen, Al'Midaan, Al'Qadim, Al'Til, and Nahar Ayesha. 3 people were shot and killed and dozens injured in Arbeen and one person was shot and killed and dozens wounded in Al'Qaboun. Security presence was heavy all over the province and the city itself.

Idlib Province: Demonstrations took place in the following areas: Sarqab, Ma'arrat Al'Numan, Jabal Az-Awiya, Kafr Nabil, Binish, the city of Idlib, Taftanaz, Al'hibeit, and Ma'arrat Harmeh. Protesters demanded the downfall of the regime and the execution of the president and also demanded that the United Nations protect civilians.

Security forces opened fire on demonstrators in Sarqab, injuring 7, two of whom are in critical condition and have sustained life-threatening head injuries. Security forces also opened fire on protesters in Idlib city to disperse them but there are no reports of injuries or deaths. The army fired on protesters in Ma'arrat Al'Numan after residents held a demonstration in front of the grand mosque after Friday prayer. 5 people were wounded including a 10 year old child. In the village of Ahsim in the Jabal Az-Awiya region, the army opened fire on protesters, wounding a 60 year old man and dispersing the protesters. Activists say Ahsim was targeted by the army because of the frequency of protests that occur there.

Lattakia Province: Reports of a large army defection in progress. More information to come...
