The head of the Free Syrian Army Riad Al-Assaad announced that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would meet the same fate as Gaddafi, stating that "the fall of the system will be faster than you [Bashar] expect," and announced that the Free Syrian army has no political goals but the liberation of Syria from the Assad regime, and called on the Syrian opposition at home and abroad to unite and urged the Syrian people to continue peaceful demonstrations.
