Inside Source: Local Coordinating Committee Update for Wednesday

The Local Coordinating Committee is now posting regular updates with information they receive regarding the situation in Syria. I will be posting all of their releases as they come in for now on.

Overview: According to the LCC, 8 people were killed today across Syria: 3 in the Hama city Suburbs, 3 in Homs, 1 in Aleppo, and 1 in Idlib province.


Damascus Province: 
Douma suburb: Anas Rayyes, 8 years old, tortured and killed after he was arrested at the beginning of this month in front of Abu Rahj mosque. Security forces told his parents that they found him killed and thrown in a sewage drain. His body is now lying in Tishreen military hospital and security forces will not release his body to his parents until they sign a waiver saying that he was killed by "unknown assailants."

Harasta Province: Security forces are shooting live ammunition at the night demonstration to disperse protesters.

Hama Province: Demonstrations in neighborhoods of Qusoor, Bayad, Janoob Malaab and the area near Manakh mosque despite the heavy security deployment especially in Manakh. Sporadic gunfire was heard today.

Idlib Province:
Jabal Az-Awiya region: Security forces stormed the village of Kafre'weed in which security forces fired into the village sporadically. Khaled Maghlaj was injured by the gunfire and despite his wounds, was arrested. Security forces also raided many houses, vandalized them and confiscated motorcycles.

Jisr Al-Shoghour: 7 year old Mohamad Khalil Zahloul was shot dead today as security forces used a significant amount of live ammnition to disperse protests.

Bokamal: Heavy shooting in Bokamal street and Janf neighborhood. Security forces launched a large arrest campaign as well and detained many people.

Deraa Province:
Tseel: A demonstration took place this morning demanding the release of detainees and chanting to topple the regime and in support of the besieged cities. Security forces and the shabiha have stormed the town this morning and arrested the following people: Hafez Qarfan, Khaled Badawi, Hashem and Abdullah Zain AlAbedin and Ibrahim Sawaleh
