LCC Update: Today is the 6 month Anniversary of the Revolution. Almost 3,000 Dead and Tens of Thousands Jailed

Today is the 6 month anniversary of the Syrian revolution against the Assad regime. Below are some stats released by the LCC as well as today's roundup.

"Six months passed since our revolution for freedom. Half a year passed and the official killing and repression machine in Syria yielded 2934 martyrs, 2453 of them are civilians, 481 are soldiers, these numbers are not final as more mass graves are being discovered and the continuous disappearance of thousands of detainees that may be liquidated in the cells of security prisons. Number of martyr children during the last 6 months reached 148 martyr, female martyrs number reached 80.

Number of martyrs who were tortured to death is 108 until now. They are mainly from Daraa, Homs, Damascus Suburbs and Lattakia.
There are tens of thousands of detainees; the center has confirmed the names of 9885 of them. Of them are 107 female prisoners and hundreds of children according to the count of the Violations Documenting Center (vdc-sy.org)

Today's roundup:

Homs Province:
A tank fired its stationary machine-guns at Khaldieh, heavy shooting was also reported on Cairo street. Security forces fired at a demonstration that took place in the Karm Zaitoon neighborhood around 4 pm. 3 soldier carriers loaded with large number of soldiers, 4 red vehicles and a long gray armed vehicle retreated from Bustan Diwan through Hamedieh then Souq.

Idlib Province:
The regime continues to cut all land, mobile communications and internet from Binnish from 6am until now. Heavy shooting from the Army at Rasha and Shorlin in Shahshibo mountain, the south of Jabal Al- Zawyeh, and tanks moved to Halwyeh and Kafarouid village.

Jabal Zawieh Region: Many people have been killed so far, of whom are: Hisham Ahmad Al-Hamoud (17 year-old) and his brother Bashir Ahmad Al-Hamoud, both from the village of Abdita, and Ahmad Turkey Al-Hamoud. In addition, more than 65 have been wounded in the heavy shooting that accompanied the storming of the villages in Jabal Zawyeh region by security forces and Shabiha who had arrived in 50 vehicles. The dead and wounded civilians were left in the farms or inside their houses and they could not be rescued because of the heavy gunfire and the imposed curfew. Also the only hospital in the area in Kinsafra Hospital was closed, preventing the wounded from being treated.

An arrest campaign has led to hundreds of people been detained especially after many people who fled their houses yesterday to Sahl Al-Ghab from another arrest campaign returned home to their villages only to be arrested today.

Damascus Province:
Zabadany: Martyrdom of Ahmad Abdulaziz Hamdan, he was shot by security forces during the raids today.

Harasta Province: Many people were injured today, some of them in critical condition because of the gunfire which continued all day and night, specially in the eastern part of the city.

Deraa Province: Security forces arrested Shiekh Diaa Al-Naser and Mehdi Al-Farwan in Enkel with 4 people from Awsaj village in Draa balad after shooting them, and there were some injures.

Inkel: Women demonstrated in the city calling for the freedom of the detainees and chanting for the martyrs and calling for the fall of the regime.
